Acknowledge the past but create a new future

I understnad that knowing our history is important. Knowing any history is important in order to understand what worked and didn't work. However, I think too many people are placing too much of an emphasis on getting back to our roots. Yes, I believe that our intentions were good 200 and some years ago but it's what happened along the way that took us to the place we are today. I think we need to recognize the actions that we took that allowed us to gain our independance in the first place and change it up for the times. For example, Anonymous is a "group" that is representing the U.S citizens and is taking control over the internet. We need that! People that do not have the ability to take a stand over the internet like the computer geniuses of anonymous are taking a stand too. We are occupying everything! We are the 99%. Too many big business control our government and our funds. We occpy to make a change. If you feel as We feel then you too will take a stand. If not for yourself do it for your children, friends, or family.

Open your eyes

This is my first blog and I am doing it so that I may reach American citizens and others that know and believe that injustice happens everyday. We as Americans are being stripped from our rights and we sit here in silence and act like nothing is happening. We need to open our eyes and think about the future. I do not acknowledge the injustice and talk about it because it is fun or because it's cool. Honestly, I would rather hide under a rock and pray it goes away like so many others have done and are doing. We need to stop being afraid of the truth and start addressing it for what it is. This is our country and I want it back. I will be silent no more I will stand up against oppression, regression, and the institution that destroyed this country and it's people!
